THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION Here is a very pleasing C-6a, B-6c half cent, struck over a 1794 Talbot, Allum, and Lee cent token. Despite the moderate wear, the undertype is easily visible on the obverse. The wear is even, and generally problem free. We note a few scattered ticks and some very minor verdigris on the reverse, but the overall eye appeal is great for the assigned grade. PCGS 24, NGC 4, CAC 3. The only CAC-approved VF25 sold back in October 2011, realizing $2,530. This coin sold more recently, as a non-CAC coin, for $3,173 in August 2012. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,400, but this coin will easily surpass that level. Good luck. Cert. Number 3702082 PCGS # 1018.00
