Lot Description

Tremendous cotton-white presence benefits from gorgeous mist-white luster and truly outstanding strike, nearly beyond reproach for a 1901-S. This is one of those dates known to suffer planchet striations in most cases, but only very faint lines traverse Liberty's portrait. Slightly abraded overall, there are no marks of individual mention, nor is the immaculate, white surface marred by any discoloration.
