Lot Description

1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-105a. Rarity-2. Small 8. AU-53 (NGC). Rich lavender-charcoal patina blankets both sides of this original AU. Well struck for the type, and free of all but minimal wear, most design elements are sharply defined. There are no abrasions of note, although we do see a few sharp cracks (as struck) on the reverse that confirm the late state of the 1811 O-105 die marriage.
