1862 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-64 * (NGC). CAC. Satin-to-semi-prooflike luster shines forth powerfully through an overlay of mostly copper-apricot iridescence. At direct angles from a good light source, however, we see even more profound toning in cobalt-blue, salmon-pink and reddish-apricot colors that exhibit a target-like distribution from the rims to the centers. A sharply impressed and smooth-looking piece that is sure to sell for a premium bid.
