Description du lot
Tompkins Die Stage 1/4, Rea et al. Die State P. Although not as challenging to locate as its Large Diameter predecessor, the Reduced Diameter Capped Bust quarter of 1831 to 1838 is an underrated design type in the finer Mint State grades. Offered is a bright, frosty to semi-reflective coin with delicate champagne-pink peripheral highlights to otherwise brilliant surfaces. Sharply to full struck overall with an impressively smooth appearance to elegant surfaces. A nice type candidate at the Choice Uncirculated level.
