- VAM-10, with a die scratch on the lip and a dash below the "8". 12 graded MS-66 PL, 3 higher at NGC. In terms of availability, the generic 1880-CC, while a bit pricey, is not impressively rare. Not so a prooflike example above the "gem" level, any example of which proves to be quite a sight to behold. Considering the representation from the GSA hoard, the population report shows unexpectedly limited numbers at this level, and this is a stunning, snow-white example with extraordinary visual presence that leans surprisingly close to the DMPL level. The strike actually exceeds the norm by a bit, with the reverse seemingly fully defined while the obverse shows trivial weakness above the ear.
