1888 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. MS-65 (PCGS). Satiny, bright peach-gold overall. The strike is sharp and pleasing, and the surfaces are exceptional and free of distracting signs of contact. This is the penultimate year of the series, and always popular for the triple 8s in the date, a lucky number in many cultures. A challenging issue to find this well preserved, and scarce any finer.
