1860-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-105. Type II Reverse. MS-66 (NGC). This is the Repunched O variety and undoubtedly one of if not <em>the </em>finest known of this variety. The repunching is seen within the top left inside of the mintmark. Glorious white frost on the devices which contrast to a degree with the reflective fields--seen on both the obverse and reverse. The obverse is mostly brilliant with a touch of russet around the rim, while the reverse is brilliant at the centers but framed in deep blue and russet around the rim, both highly appealing and reasonably well matched. The surfaces are outstanding, with little more than hints of past contact, and the strike is sharp on all the devices and legends. Exceptional quality that deserves an exceptional collection for a new home.
