1899 Barber Quarter. MS-66 (PCGS). Bathed in blended olive-silver and gray patina, the originality of this impressive looking Gem is beyond contestation. Frosty luster remains vibrant despite the depth of toning, and neither side yields so much as a single distracting abrasion. Fairly common in an absolute sense for an 1890s Barber quarter issue, the 1899 is still scarce to rare in the finest Mint State grades. PCGS Population: 17; with 5 finer (MS-67 finest). PCGS# 5622.
