1835 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-106. Rarity-1. MS-63 (PCGS). OGH. Just outside of Condition Census for the die pairing, this lovely Choice Uncirculated example has much to offer high grade type collectors and Capped Bust half dollar specialists. It is a lustrous, satin to softly frosted example with minor softness to the central high points, yet sharper striking detail toward the borders. Smoky-silver, powder blue and sandy-gold patina to the obverse, the reverse is brighter with iridescent champagne-gold, reddish-orange and cobalt blue patina largely confined to the periphery.
