Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-119 (R.3), "square base 2, small 8, small letters". "STA-E" display clear evidence of recutting for this, an early striking that also picked up excellent sharpness off the dies, particularly on the reverse. Terrific luster suggests consideration for a full point higher in grade, but that is negated by several sharper abrasions on the portrait, readily seen on the neck. Highly attractive album toning only accents the intense, frosty presence noted on either side.
