SMOKIN' HOT! Waves of frosty luster surround and accent keenly struck motifs. Little flecks of copper are seen peeking through the frost on the obverse, which only lends to the originality of the coin and is a PLUS in our book! While there are so me light circulation marks in the fields, nothing stands out that is not commensurate with the grade. Type I Liberty $20 gold pieces are all the rage these days and rightly so. The availability of PCGS graded pieces in comparison to the high pops for NGC coins is in stark contrast. Case in point, check out the population of coins for the grade in at the services listed below! PCGS 195, NGC 471, CAC 71. The PCGS Price Guide list is $3,750. In March of this year an example sold for $3,1 20 and we sold this exact coin in our October 2022 Regency sale for $2,937. As we indicated, the prices are rising.
