Lot Description

1901 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-66 (NGC). OH. Emerald, lavender, gold and iridescent tones of an inherently original quality bathe the mirrored and essentially mark-free surfaces. Even coins at this rarefied grade level will display a few inconsequential hairlines, but we are having trouble finding any on this coin. The toning is a bit airier on the obverse, a bit denser on the reverse of a coin that would equally suit either a type or date collector.
