Losbeschreibung
1760 Hibernia-Voce Populi Halfpenny. Zelinka 4-B, Nelson-2, W-13940. Rarity-3. "1700." AU-55. 116.0 grains. Perhaps technically finer than the superb example above, with nearly full frosty luster on light brown surfaces, but showing the same central softness that typifies most specimens of this variety. Choice in every regard, essentially unworn, with just a little spot below V of VOCE and a single thin hairline on the cheek to be picky about if you need to be. An extra little flange of metal is present at the reverse rim at 6 o'clock. A beautiful example, one that deserves to be counted among the finest known with the nice examples noted in the previous description. PCGS# 274. Provenance: From the Ted L. Craige Collection.
