Lot Description

Satiny, nickel-silver surfaces show hints of clear gold throughout. The devices are well struck up, crisply rendered by a bold impression from broken dies. The reverse was in especially bad shape when this coin was struck with numerous spidery die cracks and a small rim cud forming. PCGS 23, NGC 27, CAC 7. The only coin finer at PCGS is a single MS66+. The most recent PCGS/CAC coin to sell in auction recently sold in the 2017 ANA auction, realizing $1,880. The sole 66+ sold for $8,225 in February 2015.
