1871 Pattern Liberty Eagle. Judd-1173, Pollock-1315. Rarity-7+. Copper. Reeded Edge. Proof-63 BN (NGC). Regular die trials striking of the 1871 Liberty eagle. Deep red-brown with lively rose, violet, and sea green iridescence. About a half dozen examples of the variety are known in copper, three of which have been graded by NGC.
