1834 Classic Quarter Eagle. Breen-6140. Large or "Booby" Head. MS-60 (NGC). A lustrous deep yellow-gold example of the first year of William Kneass' short-lived (1834-1839) design type. Deep orange-gold highlights engage both sides. The luster is completely unbroken on the design high points, unlike many of the MS-60 and MS-61 certified examples of the date and type currently in the numismatic marketplace. Choice for the grade with no one single mark that draws the viewer's eye. An ideal selection for an advanced gold type collection.
