1794 Franklin Press Token. W-8850. Rarity-1. Plain Edge. AU-58 (PCGS). 114.8 grains. Rich autumn-brown and steely-copper patina, direct lighting calls forth iridescent undertones of vivid powder blue to the latter. Hard and satiny in texture, this sharply defined and lustrous example is not all that far removed from a Mint State rating. Provenance: Acquired from J.J. Teaparty, date not recorded.
