A lovely Mint State example of this famed Buffalo nickel variety. One of the most famous of all 20th century "errors" the 3-Legged Buffalo nickel is always in strong demand and popular among collectors. The present example has a strong eye appeal for the modest MS61 grade, and we believe that in the past, this coin would have been called CHOICE BU. A very pretty luster and soft tone adds to the visual allure. PCGS 38, NGC 475. The most recent NGC-graded example realized $2,280 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,000.
