1804 Draped Bust Quarter. B-1. Rarity-3. VG-8 (PCGS). A handsome and inviting coin for the assigned grade, both sides exhibit deep steel gray fields with lighter silver gray design elements. Virtually all devices are boldly outlined, only the top of the letters MERI in AMERICA worn into the right reverse border. Pleasingly smooth in hand, and uncommonly so for a well circulated Draped Bust quarter, it is difficult for us to imagine a more desirable example of the key date 1804 at the VG grade level.
