- 1874-CC Trade Dollar. MS-61 (PCGS).
Brilliant frosty white surfaces are sharply struck in all but a few isolated areas. One of the scarcest Carson City Mint trade dollars, especially in the finer circulated and Mint State grades, the 1874-CC saw widespread exportation to the Orient. This is a particularly fortunate survivor from a mintage of 1,373,200 pieces that will excite both trade dollar and Carson City Mint enthusiasts.
Provenance: From our (Bowers and Merena's) Estate of Byron F. Johnson, Jr. sale, January 1989, lot 708. Lot tag included.
PCGS# 7035. NGC ID: 2532.
