Both sides of this gold dollar exhibit a smooth, satiny texture that is at the threshold of numismatic perfection. Blended orange-gold and rose patina enhances features that are smartly impressed with sharp to full definition. Certainly among the finest known survivors from a net mintage of just 5,016 pieces (including 16 coins reserved for Assay purposes), and worthy of the strongest bid.
