1883 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-65 PL (NGC). Bright and lustrous with frosted motifs and mirrored fields that enjoy a dusting of pale champagne-gold iridescence. Well-struck in most areas, the only real weakness at Liberty's head and the two adjacent stars. A prooflike specimen, as are many of the survivors from the mintage of just 8,000 circulation strikes. Choice for the grade and certain to tempt our bidders.
