A fully original example with an off-center area of golden-apricot iridescence on the obverse, otherwise deeply toned in charcoal-copper and steel-blue patina. Expertly as well as originally preserved, the surfaces are virtually pristine and at the threshold of numismatic perfection. The mintage of this issue is 545 pieces, one of the lowest for a Proof half dollar of this design type. The offered Ultra Gem is a true connoisseur's coin that is equally well suited for high quality Proof type and date purposes. Outstanding!
