1873/2 Round 50 Cents. BG-1050. Rarity-6-. Indian Head. MS-64 (NGC). Lustrous yellow gold with rich pale olive highlights and frosty devices set against mirror fields. Dots added to the die at the 2 flank that numeral and give a rough appearance of a 3. Die crumbling at the Indian's nose, heavy die crack from obverse rim at 6 o'clock upward into the hair above the headband. From Christoph Ferdinand Mohrig, San Francisco.
