Type II / II, Breen-5813 "large S". 1877-S frequently serves for type given the odds of being able to locate a nicer example deriving from the sizable emission of nine-million. Superbly detailed with delightful, original brilliance and luster, the eye-appeal most definitely reaches or exceeds choice aspirations. Hardly any contact marks show up under a loupe, but a number of fleeting hairlines dart here and there on both sides.
