An exceptionally attractive specimen with crescents of steel-blue, reddish-russet and pinkish-apricot patina engaging the obverse border. The center on that side is brilliant, as is the reverse in its entirety apart from blushes of pale golden-russet tinting at the border. Fully struck and boldly cameoed, this is an outstanding Gem Proof of a date in the Liberty Seated half dollar series that is particularly desirable due to the low mintage of its circulation strike issue.
