1829 Capped Bust Half Dime. LM-3. Rarity-2. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. An appealing example with a lively prooflike finish shining through an overlay of richly original toning. The obverse exhibits a target-like distribution to steel-gray, rose-apricot and olive-gold, while the reverse is pewter and silver-gray. With a razor sharp strike and careful surface preservation, this is an outstanding Choice Mint State example of the type, issue and die pairing that is worthy of the strongest bids.
