The intensely vivid multicolored toning seen here would be worthy of aggressive bidding even on a common date Morgan dollar such as an 1880-S or 1885-O. As a near-Gem example of the conditionally challenged 1880-O this is a particularly significant offering for the Morgan dollar toning enthusiast. The coveted NGC * designation for superior eye appeal is more than justified here, as the obverse is bursting with cobalt blue and pinkish-rose iridescence, and the reverse is dressed in a blend of warmer golden-olive and reddish-orange hues. Fully lustrous with a bold strike and exceptional eye appeal.
