1837 Modified Matron Head Cent. N-1. Rarity-3. Plain Cords, Medium Letters. MS-63 BN (NGC). Lustrous light olive and steel with some splashes of reddish-brown and copper-orange. Bold cartwheel and minimal abrasions, one tiny spot of superficial verdigris near star 4 bears note. Overall a pretty Choice Mint State example. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
