1875 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-933. Rarity-5. Indian Head. MS-63 (NGC). Satiny khaki-orange surfaces are free of significant blemishes with a suitably bold strike for the type. This is the popular "Bed of Spikes" variety, so named because the denticles along the lower-obverse border are punched over the base of the date.
