1876-S Liberty Eagle. AU-50 (NGC). An elusive issue in all grades due to having been produced to the extent of just 5,000 pieces, the 1876-S is actually unknown in Mint State. This lightly circulated survivor, therefore, is sure to be of keen interest to the advanced collector of Liberty gold coinage. Even rose-orange color throughout, with bold-to-sharp definition and wispy abrasions that are bit more pronounced for the obverse.
