1855 Liberty Head Double Eagle. AU-53 (PCGS). Light khaki-gold patina blankets both sides of this boldly to sharply defined, suitably lustrous AU example. Accuracy compels us to mention a shallow scuff in the lower right reverse field, as well as a shallow depression in the field between Liberty's bust and the digits 85 in the date that is the result of a strikethrough (as made).
