1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Threepence. Noe-36, Salmon 2-B, W-640. Rarity-4. Without Pellets. VF-35 (PCGS). 14.0 grains. Choice light silver gray, beautiful and even, with ideal originality. Just about perfect for this grade level. Early die state with no break at upper right obverse periphery. A little natural planchet depression is seen above second N in ENGLAND, some softness at left reverse periphery, natural rim clip at 12 o'clock hidden by slab prong, two very thin old hairline scratches above second A in MASATHVSETS. It would be hard to find a nicer VF type coin.
