Lot Description

Only the slightest hint of circulation appears on the high points of both sides. A scarce doubled die variety that shows strong doubling at FIVE CENTS on the reverse. Well struck, we see only the slightest ticks from a very short time in commerce. PCGS 13, NGC 7, CAC 2. There has not been a PCGS AU55 to sell in auction since November 2010, that coin realized $3,738. More recently a PCGS AU58 sold for $2,588 in March 2012.
