Predominantly pinkish-red surfaces with minimal toning in gently mottled gray-brown. This sharply struck near-Gem is almost certainly from a large hoard of 1835 half cents dispersed by Elmer Sears circa 1935, which find has made this issue a perennial favorite among Mint State type collectors.
