1828 Matron Head Cent. N-9. Rarity-4. Large Narrow Date. AU-53 (PCGS). A noteworthy example of this scarce variety, a much better grade than normally encountered. Nicely struck and only lightly worn, with glossy reddish chocolate-brown surfaces and just a few trivial marks. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
