This is a sharply defined, satin textured example that comes highly recommended for inclusion in a Gem Mint State type set where an example of this intriguing 19th century odd denomination series is required. An interesting coin struck from an advanced state of the dies, clash marks, die erosion and peripheral cracks are all very much in evidence. It is expertly preserved, however, with the lightest iridescent gold toning on virtually blemish-free surfaces.
