1787 Vermont Copper. RR-14, Bressett 10-K, W-2105. Rarity-4. Bust Right. VF-20. 110.5 grains. Brassy golden-tan surfaces exhibit faint and uniform microporosity to the unaided eye. Obverse slightly off-center to the top, rim tight to ON AUCT, some natural planchet striations in the effigy's hair otherwise no readily visible marks of any nature, reverse evenly centered with the rim just at the bottoms of the date numerals, some graininess present but no marks to draw the viewer's eye, design motifs fairly bold overall, early die state, no cud or crack yet above Liberty's head in this first use of Bressett's Reverse K. A pleasing Ryder-14 in many regards. PCGS# 560. Provenance: From the Dan Freidus Collection. Paper envelope with attribution notes included.
