1849 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS). This satiny to modestly semi-reflective half eagle offers vivid patina in deep honey-orange. Most design elements are fully struck, and there are no significant marks in the context of the assigned grade. The 1849 is among the more readily obtainable half eagles from the 1840s, but it remains conditionally rare even in lower Mint State grades.
