1892 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS). Gorgeous rose-gold surfaces are further adorned with intense frosty mint luster. Sharply struck throughout with uncommonly smooth surfaces for this otherwise readily obtainable issue. Indeed, the 1892 is an underrated condition rarity in the finest Mint State grades, as here. The typical Uncirculated survivor from a mintage of 753,480 circulation strikes grades MS-62 or MS-63, with the occasional MS-64 appearing in the market.
