Lot Description

1922-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-61 (NGC). Inviting satin luster mingles with bright gold patina on both sides of this sharply struck and appealing example. Although readily obtainable in comparison to many other mintmarked double eagles from the 1920s and 1930s, the 1922-S is a scarce issue in in its right that represents a significant find in all Mint State grades.
