Lot Description

A boldly defined piece with plenty of bright, frosty luster shining forth as the coin rotates under a light. Generally soft golden-gray in tone with blushes of vivid cobalt blue and reddish-russet iridescence scattered about. A scarcer No Motto Liberty Seated half dollar from the 1840s, the 1845 has a limited mintage of 589,000 pieces. Circulated coins can be elusive in the numismatic market, especially with CAC approval, as here.
