Lot Description

Variegated russet, golden-brown, and olive patina decorate the borders and fields of this highly lustrous quarter from just the second year of the type. Fully struck on Liberty's head, but slight weakness is noted on the shield rivets and the digits of the date. Both the obverse and reverse are smooth and mark-free. Superior quality in this popular issue.
