1859 Liberty Seated Half Dime. MS-65 (NGC). This wonderfully original example displays bold target toning in antique gold, powder blue and silver-apricot iridescence, the surfaces revealing more uniform olive-charcoal patina at indirect viewing angles. With a razor sharp strike and lively satin luster, this handsome Gem would do particularly well in a high grade type set that features richly toned silver. Mintage: 340,000 circulation strikes.
