1870 Pattern Dime. Judd-838, Pollock-929. Rarity-7-. Proof-66 Cameo (PCGS). Of the 11 examples certified of this issue, the present coin is the second finest technically, and it also happens to be the only CAMEO presented. The surfaces are highly reflective with ample frost on the devices, and snow-white with no signs of toning or spots present. The obverse depicts a bust of Liberty facing right, wearing familiar cap with three stars and loose ribbon on her shoulder. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounds at the top, with the banner with Motto below of IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse has an open agricultural wreath, 10 CENTS 1870 within same, and STANDARD in tiny letters above. Rotated about 20 degrees counter clockwise. Struck in silver with a plain edge.
