1722 Rosa Americana Penny. Martin 2.1-A.1, W-1258. Rarity-5. VTILE DVLCI. EF-40 (PCGS). 110.5 grains. A generally well struck specimen with noticeable doubling on some of the peripheral devices; especially on ANA along the upper left reverse periphery. Die rust is noted near EX in REX, on the lower right obverse border. The king's portrait also reveals doubling, from the hairline downward. A mostly olive-brown example, with lighter greenish-tan toning on the obverse high points.
