1767-A French Colonies Sou, or 12 Deniers. Paris Mint. Breen-700. No RF Counterstamp. EF-45. 179.0 grains. Satiny golden surfaces exhibit some light pits, none of them overbearing. The strike is sharp and the eye appeal is substantial. PCGS# 158651. Provenance: From our (Stack's) Public Auction Sale of September 1987, lot 170. Paper envelope with pedigree notes included.
