1815/2 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-2. EF-45 (NGC). Steel gray with lilac high points and with navy blue iridescence at the peripheries. No marks of any consequence assail the viewer's eye. The undisputed key date of the design type, 1807 to 1836; just 47,150 examples were struck, far and away the lowest mintage in a series where large mintages of a million or more pieces was the norm.
