Lot Description

BB Die State III, Salyards Die State I. Well centered for the type, especially on the obverse, this piece is softly struck in the centers, yet offers appreciably bolder detail toward the borders. The surfaces are a bit glossy in texture from an old, light cleaning, but have since retoned warmly and naturally in steel-olive and pewter-gold. The adjustment marks at central reverse are as made, and there are no sizeable post-production blemishes.
